I have the same problem over here, approx. 60 seconds, high load, no scripts
running except the default.

I did a 'strace amarok' which generates a hugh load of output as amarok
seems to call the same functions over and over again a few times a second.

I'll paste the lines towards the end of the output. You need to repeat the
first few lines approx 10.000 times to get the actual number:
