Package: jed Version: 1:0.99.18+dfsg.1-10 Severity: minor
When Jed is told to evaluate a file (evalfile(), autoload() or require()) it searches it in the "jed library path" (Jed 0.99.19 will look in the "slang search path). If the file is not found in the search path, the error message contains only the last directory of the search path, e.g.: S-Lang> message(get_jed_library_path); /usr/share/jed/lib,usr/share/jed/jed-extra/utils/,/usr/share/jed/jed-extra/ S-Lang> require("pcre"); Unable to load /usr/share/jed/jed-extra/pcre.slc This message can lead non-experts to the wrong conclusions, trying to find out why pcre.slc is missing in /usr/share/jed/jed-extra/ while the reason for this error is, that /usr/share/slsh/ is missing from the jed-library-path (cf. Bug #482487).
