In #478470 it is reported that the problem may be in the gnutls library during the TLS handshake phase, if the number of CA installed with the package ca-certificates is too high.
I tried to reconfigure (dpkg-reconfigure ca-certificates), deselecting all the ca, and so I could skip that problem. Unfortunately I did not add my autosigned certificate generated with tinyca2 to WXP, but it is another story.
