That's what I would have expected as well, to be honest. But Ubuntu
still got reports that it wouldn't happen on some systems even with
udev and linux 2.6.22. However, for some reason I'm not familiar with
this doesn't actually seem to work for the modalias "acpi*:ACPI0003:*"
(which the ac module provides).

Right now, /etc/rc2.d/S10acpid loads the module on a standard system.
However, that runs after rcS.d/S??checkroot.sh, so it's too late for
fsck.

I hope that this workaround patch gets obsolete soon, when the
kernel/udev get fixed to load it automatically.

So if you think that is really belongs to udev/linux and shouldn't be
worked around in the meantime, feel free to just close this bug.
