Package: signing-party Version: 1.0-2 Severity: normal On my keysigning gpgsigs printout of LinuxTag 2008 some keys didn't have any UID (neither some kind of realname) printed out. After some researching I found out, that this affected keys, that aren't available in my pubring nor on the public keyservers. Okay, I should have imported the pubring that was provided by the party organisator, and everybody attending a signing party should upload his key to the public keyservers. Anyway: this behavior of gpgsigs is quite annoying, cause I had to note the names of the attendees by hand and have to check them manually :-(
I suggest to modify gpgsigs to use the given UIDs from the input file, if no UIDs can be found in the keyring or on the keyservers instead of printing no UIDs at all. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (600, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (50, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.24-1-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=de_DE, LC_CTYPE=de_DE (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages signing-party depends on: ii gnupg 1.4.6-2.1 GNU privacy guard - a free PGP rep ii libgnupg-interface-perl 0.33-6 Perl interface to GnuPG ii libmailtools-perl 2.03-1 Manipulate email in perl programs ii libmime-tools-perl 5.426-1 Perl5 modules for MIME-compliant m ii libtext-template-perl 1.44-1.1 Text::Template perl module Versions of packages signing-party recommends: ii dialog 1.1-20080316-1 Displays user-friendly dialog boxe ii libgd-gd2-noxpm-perl 1:2.35-1 Perl module wrapper for libgd - gd ii libintl-perl 1.16-4 Uniforum message translations syst ii libpaper-utils 1.1.23 library for handling paper charact ii libtext-iconv-perl 1.7-1 converts between character sets in ii postfix [mail-transport-a 2.5.2~rc2-1 High-performance mail transport ag ii recode 3.6-15 Character set conversion utility ii whiptail 0.52.2-11.2 Displays user-friendly dialog boxe -- no debconf information Tschoeeee Roland -- * [EMAIL PROTECTED] * http://www.spinnaker.de/ * -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
