Package: randomsound Version: 0.2-2 Severity: normal 00:1f.5 Multimedia audio controller: Intel Corporation 82801BA/BAM AC'97 Audio Controller (rev 01)
I have an i386 machine with sound hardware as above running kernel 2.6.18-6-xen-686. When I run /usr/sbin/randomsound as root from the command-line it aborts with the error "Arecord already died.". When I run it under strace it appears to work correctly. It seems that there is a race condition in the randomsound startup. -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-6-686 Locale: LANG=en_AU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_AU.UTF-8 (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) (ignored: LC_ALL set to C) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
