Unfortunately my ThinkPad does not support bigger Hardisks as my 12GByte
TravelStart drive (40 GByte are refused) and I can not install  Etch  on
it.

I have tried it but it does not work on the TP570.

I have already tried to get Linux 2.6 runing but whenever it create  the
initrd it leave me with a broken one  ("/dev/console"  and  "/etc/fstab"
not found)

So, no solution for now.
