Cacheboy Squid is a branch off the Squid-2 development tree. The
Cacheboy Squid project aims to fix the shortcomings in the Squid-2
codebase whilst maintaining the the Squid-2 functionality and
stability. 

Maybe it would be interesting to have a 
squid-cacheboy
package in Debian
