The McClatchy newspaper chain begins a series Sunday documenting abuses of 
detainees at American military bases in Afghanistan. The series also alleges 
that many of the prisoners at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, have little or no 
connection to terrorism.

The United States recently changed laws making it easier for employees of U.S. 
companies in Iraq to apply for asylum. Among those affected are the Iraqi 
employees of National Public Radio. Iraqis who want to leave the country talk 
about decisions they're facing.
