My setup is as yours, but I can't get any sound. For the sake of
clarity, kmid's MIDI setup shows 5 devices:

Midi Through Midi Through Port-0 - ALSA device
TiMidity TiMidity port 0 - ALSA device
TiMidity TiMidity port 1 - ALSA device
TiMidity TiMidity port 2 - ALSA device
TiMidity TiMidity port 3 - ALSA device

I selected 'TiMidity TiMidity port 0 - ALSA device'.
No sound at all both with my laptop, which has a

00:1f.5 Multimedia audio controller: Intel Corporation 82801DB/DBL/DBM
(ICH4/ICH4-L/ICH4-M) AC'97 Audio Controller (rev 02)

(actually a Realtek codec) and with my desktop (ASUS P4P800S, ICH5 AC'97
Audio Controller, actually an Analog Devices "SoundMAX" codec).

Attached here you can find some cats from /proc/asound/seq/, both in
standby and during a play attempt with kmid.

Thanks

Mau
