Package: libpoco5-dev Version: 1.3.2+dfsg1-1
Hi, Unpacking libpoco5-dev (from .../libpoco5-dev_1.3.2+dfsg1-1_i386.deb) ... dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/libpoco5-dev_1.3.2+dfsg1-1_i386.deb (--unpack): trying to overwrite `/usr/include/Poco/NumberFormatter.h', which is also in package libpoco-dev dpkg-deb: subprocess paste killed by signal (Broken pipe) Errors were encountered while processing: /var/cache/apt/archives/libpoco5-dev_1.3.2+dfsg1-1_i386.deb E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) Apperantly we would be better served if we left the the -dev binary package to be named libpoco-dev instead of libpobo5-dev. This would prevent the above problem, and as a bonus we won't need to instroduce new binary -dev package when soname changes to 6 for instance. As for now, I believe it is best for libpoco5-dev to declare a conflict with libpoco-dev package in order to facilitate a smooth upgrade path. -- pub 4096R/0E4BD0AB 2003-03-18 <people.fccf.net/danchev/key pgp.mit.edu> fingerprint 1AE7 7C66 0A26 5BFF DF22 5D55 1C57 0C89 0E4B D0AB -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
