that's at least good to know, but it doesn't make much sense to keep it in Debian without a proper fix for that problem, also I doubt that it still works for all supported providers. Adding a fixed package back to Debian is not a big problem if somebody is interested in doing this work. Th emain problem is that the author of smssend doesn't answer to mails, and smssend needs skytuils to work and therefor needs to link ssl, which is not allowed by the license of smssend.
