This now gives me:

signal sender=org.freedesktop.DBus -> dest=(null destination)
path=/org/freedesktop/DBus;
interface=org.freedesktop.DBus; member=NameOwnerChanged
   string ":1.19"
   string ""
   string ":1.19"
signal sender=:1.19 -> dest=(null destination)
path=/org/kerneloops/submit/ping;
interface=org.kerneloops.submit.ping; member=ping
signal sender=:1.0 -> dest=(null destination)
path=/org/kerneloops/submit/permission;
interface=org.kerneloops.submit.permission; member=ask

But at that point things seem stuck again. Also tried with kdesu instead
of sudo, but that seems to give the same result.
