Package: lm-sensors
Version: 1:3.0.2-1
Severity: normal

Running sensors-detect gives this result:

Intel Core family thermal sensor... Success!
    (driver `coretemp')

Summary:

Driver `to-be-written' (should be inserted):
  Detects correctly:
  * Bus `NVIDIA i2c adapter '
    Busdriver `UNKNOWN', I2C address 0x2e
    Chip `Analog Devices ADT7473' (confidence: 5)

Driver `coretemp' (should be inserted):
  Detects correctly:
  * Chip `Intel Core family thermal sensor' (confidence: 9)

However, when inserting coretemp:

$ sudo modprobe coretemp
FATAL: Error inserting coretemp
(/lib/modules/2.6.24-1-amd64/kernel/drivers/hwmon/coretemp.ko): No such device

dmesg gives a valuable clue:

coretemp: Unknown CPU model 17

The CPU is an Intel Q9450 Core 2 Quad. Not supported yet?
