Umm, I don't understand why it needs to warn it does something it has
been asked to do.
Besides, I think trying to use AF_INET6 sockets is a valid operation
for an application to do, definitely not something that should trigger
a syslog warning every time it's done.
So the solution you propose is configure every single application (all
of which may not be configurable to not open AF_INET6 sockets) because
modprobe wants to spam syslog about doing things it's been asked to
do?
Sorry, I just can't agree with you here, at least not with the
rationale you gave.
