Hello, please upload the 2.4.3 version of pidgin into testing as soon as possible. There are thousands of Debian-users affected now who cannot use their ICQ-accounts anymore. The versions for Mac-OS-X and FreeBSD also have been updated already.
Also, what about the version 2.0 from etch ? You should update this version as well. I tried backporting 2.4.x from lenny to etch already but this doesn't work because the Debian-diff messes something up so the code won't build anymore on etch (filed this already: #480834). The original source-code from the pidgin-website works without any problems. I think I will build my own pidgin-package for all the etch-clients at my university now, I am tired of this :/.
