Hello,
One of the used regexs doesn't not match the format used by the
standard sshd logs for invalid attemps form users not in AllowUsers.
It currently misses the host part. The following error message is
therefore shown in denyhosts logs:
2008-01-01 15:55:34,443 - denyhosts : ERROR regex pattern ( User
(?P<user>.*) not allowed because not listed in AllowUsers ) is missing
'host' group
The attached simple patch solves the issue.
I'm using Debian stable.

I've tried to apply your patch to current denyhosts release (2.6-3) and
seem it doesn't apply. Can you check with current (testing/unstable)
release?
