Thanks Petter. gpredict just uses a menu category of HamRadio, which is one of the xdg desktop specification's secondary categories. It doesn't list any of the primary categories because I don't think any of them are appropriate, but this isn't really policy compliant. There's a package called extra-xdg-menus which provides a suitable menu for HamRadio and also Electronics applications. gpredict might Suggest that package, as a solution to this bug.
