No, but then disabling the useless daily updatedb run requires some more fiddling. Although documented in locate's README.Debian, at least. I would like to suggest adding a README to dlocate as well, answering this FAQ, perhaps pointing to #454106, and making explicit that disabling the daily updatedb run does *not* hamper dlocate's functionality.
