Galeon 2.0.6 (and 2.0.5) can't see the saved password list; reverting to 2.0.4 fixes this. I also created a new user and ran Galeon from that, and it doesn't ask to save passwords. Iceweasel isn't having the same issue, so it looks to me like a Galeon problem.
