Well, users should not be using lprng unless they know what they are doing. The default is to use CUPS which has been the recommended print server for years. If we enable the lpr backend by default, it will lead to a misleading UI for users of CUPS, so we choose to not enable it. Cheers, -- .''`. : :' : We are debian.org.
