Package: squid3
Version: 3.0.PRE5-5
Severity: normal
I've setup squid3 on my network to serve as a transparent proxy. My
router (WRT54G with DD-WRT firmware) redirects outgoing requests to port
80 with an iptables rule. But squid3 can't process the requests.
The browser output is like this:
> While trying to retrieve the URL: /
> ERROR
> The requested URL could not be retrieved
>
> The following error was encountered:
>
> * Invalid URL
>
> Some aspect of the requested URL is incorrect. Possible problems:
>
> * Missing or incorrect access protocol (should be `http://'' or
> similar) * Missing hostname
> * Illegal double-escape in the URL-Path
> * Illegal character in hostname; underscores are not allowed
Squid3 (3.0.STABLE6-2) from Lenny is working correctly (same system but
new vserver with lenny / host etch).
PS: Debian is great (I couldn't deny myself that) ;)
