After upgrading, iceweasel briefly opens, tries to load one of the
extensions (flashgot), and disappears. After complete removal and a
clean new installtion, nothing has changed, and the memory of the
extension still exists, i.e. it was NOT completely removed. This renders
iceweasel useless, for the time being.
Trying running iceweasel in safemode (iceweasel -safe-mode) and disable
extensions.
