No, I obviously wouldn't be able to built an linux-image-2.6.25 of
version 2.6.25-7 before getting the linux-source-2.6.25 of that
version.
And even if, then that image would have the make-kpkg generated dummy
changelog entry usind the value of its --revision argument as version.

Furthermore if I had already seen the changelog, why would it show me
an old part again only omitting the latest entry? That wouldn't make
sense...

linux-source-2.6.25 and linux-manual-2.6.25 as shown in the grep
output in my original report are the only binary packages stemming
from linux-2.6 that are/ever have been installed in version 2.6.25-7.
