Arie, could you try something please?

In a Python interpreter (executing 'python' from console), type the following:

>>> from ctypes.util import find_library
>>> find_library("GL")
'libGL.so.1'

 You should have the same output ('libGL.so.1'). Otherwise, please
paste here your output.

 Another thing you could try is to launch fretsonfire with python2.4
instead of your default python2.5, and see what happens.
