I created a file called deutsch.ly, and ran lilypond like lilypond deutsch.ly and got a message back about parsing deutsch.ly, but not the output I would have expected from processing my file. It took me quite a while to notice that it was in fact processing /usr/share/lilypond/2.8.7/ly/deutsch.ly (despite, yes, that being printed as informational output). lilypond ./deutsch.ly didn't process my file either, while lilypond `pwd`/deutsch.ly did. This doesn't seem right to me, but maybe someone else thinks it is right? I would have expected the current working directory to be ahead of the system directories in the search path.
