Package: openssl Version: 0.9.8g-12 Severity: important
There is a bug in the currently packaged version of OpenSSL that generates errors with Firefox 3. The bug has already been fixed upstream with version 0.9.8h. See http://cvs.openssl.org/chngview?cn=17088 and http://davidsmalley.com/2008/6/22/firefox-3-triggers-an-openssl-bug Packaging 0.9.8h, even if it is placed in experimental, would allow me to update my production web servers. Thank's for all your hard work. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.25-2-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages openssl depends on: ii libc6 2.7-10 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libssl0.9.8 0.9.8g-10.1 SSL shared libraries ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-12 compression library - runtime openssl recommends no packages.
