package: debian-installer Version: Debian GNU/Linux installer 4.0 (installer build 20070308etch2) severity: minor
I was wondering how to set a label on a partition (not a partition table, but a label that e2label could read).
I couldn't see this documented in [1] so I wrote a patch, attached. The statement about label{ } requiring method{ format } comes from a comment in packages/partman/partman-ext3/active_partition/ext3/choices Hopefully this is useful. If this is already documented somewhere, please could you point me there. I tested this usage with the 'etch' installer, on i386 (version noted above). Worked For Me.
