Package: ssmtp Version: 2.61-13 Severity: normal
RFC 2821[0] Appendix B.1 says that: 1. Each recipient address from a TO, CC, or BCC header field SHOULD be copied to a RCPT command (generating multiple message copies if that is required for queuing or delivery). This includes any addresses listed in a RFC 822 "group". Any BCC fields SHOULD then be removed from the headers. However, ssmtp seems to leave the Bcc headers in the message when it is passed to the smarthost. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-4-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages ssmtp depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.17 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 2.7-4 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgnutls13 2.0.4-1 the GNU TLS library - runtime libr ssmtp recommends no packages. -- debconf information: ssmtp/overwriteconfig: true ssmtp/mailname: ssmtp/mailhub: mail.matthew.ath.cx ssmtp/fromoverride: true ssmtp/hostname: illythia.matthew.ath.cx ssmtp/root: mjj29 ssmtp/rewritedomain: matthew.ath.cx ssmtp/port: 25 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
