According to /usr/share/doc/sgrep/changelog.gz the bug was fixed in version
1.93a:
version 1.93a
o Fixed a bug which caused sgrep to dump core when using SGML
scanner at least on Solaris platform (negative index to memory
mapped file)
I tested sgrep and it works fine.
