Package: fai Version: 2.8.4 Severity: important
Hi! /usr/sbin/fai runs "ifup lo" to setup the loopback interface (line 150). However, since /etc/network/run is not writable ifup fails. Running without the loopback interface causes problems (delays) for nfs-mounts since communication fails with the portmapper on localhost. Workaround, let make-fai-nfsroot replace /etc/network/run with a link to /tmp or another writable location. regards / Ralf -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.4.30 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=sv_SE (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages fai depends on: ii libapt-pkg-perl 0.1.13 Perl interface to libapt-pkg ii perl 5.8.4-8 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction -- debconf information excluded -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
