so, I had openoffice.org open today and noticed that it actually seems to be trying to read the styles and formatting panel now. I thought I had tried it on another system after doing a full upgrade to lenny a few days ago. However, it's definitely working on my laptop better than it has been in the past. I have recently upgraded my laptop which is probably the cause.
