I ran Tcl tests on Debian GNU/kFreeBSD machine (with glibc 2.7-13),
and they show that the bug is gone.
Though I cannot check if hppa is affected because the developer
machine is down. So, I'm not closing this bug yet.
In fact, the real problem is not solved, but it is "workarounded"
directly in glibc 2.7-13:
* Disable call to "GL(dl_wait_lookup_done)" in linuxthreads builds.
Proper solution still have to be created. Stop crashes in mean time.
See #489066.
The proper fix have to be done also in glibc.
It used to segfault also on hppa, see threads started by
http://lists.debian.org/debian-hppa/2008/07/msg00001.html
confirmed by
http://lists.debian.org/debian-hppa/2008/07/msg00005.html
and http://lists.debian.org/debian-glibc/2008/07/msg00011.html
Definitely, it is not problem in tcl8.5, unloading dll
does not lead to segfault anymore, glibc 2.7-13 (at least)
will be in lenny.
Thanks again for your care about GNU/kFreeBSD
