i indeed have this line in my /etc/pbbuttonsd.conf:

KBDMode               = fkeysfirst

well, you mentionned devfsd, i use udev instead. here is what i have:

$ ll /dev/input/event*
crw-rw----  1 root root 13, 64 2005-06-06 13:31 /dev/input/event0
