Hi,

The issues with rescaling are a known regression with xorg 1.4 that
people are still working to fix. Unfortunately that's probably not
going to happen in a time that works to get this into Lenny, and
probably won't really happen until xorg 1.5 ...

The option that you mention was not introduced upstream until 0.8.0-2
which as #482826 points out, is known to eat people's systems and was
blocked from migrating to Lenny until that gets resolved too.
I would be hesitant to recommend that anything with that sort of problem
should replace what we currently have in testing, and that's probably
not going to change much in the time remaining before release.

The best advice that we can give to people right now is that if you need
the highest quality results from your tablet, stick to stable with the
older xorg. The new code has introduced lots of changes and it's taking
some time for all the issues to really shake out.

Anyone who thinks they might be able to help with that would be welcome
to follow what is going on in linuxwacom-discuss and chip in where they
can ...

Cheers,
Ron
