Hi Bart, thanks for the hint, but I do not think that this is related. I already changed the power.sh script to look at the sysfs interface some time ago (sorry, forgot to send it in as a patch). When a battery event is caught, everything works as it should. It just seems my battery is only very seldom sending events, so I am sticking with the cron-job solution for now.
