The shared libraries contained in this package are not co-installable for no good reason. For example from libhd14 and libhd15 I see no file overlap: $ dpkg -L libhd14 /. /usr /usr/lib /usr/lib/libhd.so.14.19 /usr/share /usr/share/doc /usr/share/doc/libhd14 /usr/share/doc/libhd14/copyright /usr/share/doc/libhd14/changelog.Debian.gz /usr/share/doc/libhd14/changelog.gz /usr/lib/libhd.so.14 $ dpkg -L libhd15 /. /usr /usr/lib /usr/lib/libhd.so.15.3 /usr/share /usr/share/doc /usr/share/doc/libhd15 /usr/share/doc/libhd15/copyright /usr/share/doc/libhd15/changelog.Debian.gz /usr/share/doc/libhd15/changelog.gz /usr/lib/libhd.so.15 I also see this has been going on starting at libhd12. I've not checked libhd13 nor libhd12, but my guess would be that those didn't have overlapping files. So please remove those wrong Conflicts, Provides and Replaces from the library. For the -doc package, please rename the doc-base file (matching the library name be good) so that they can be co-installed.
