Same problem with same printer here. It seems, that this is a more generic problem with the new cups version running into heavy trouble with old (somewhat broken) PPDs. See also http://bugs.debian.org/493104 There you find a patch by Josselin Mouette <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> which seems to fix the broken 2605 PPD.
