Bug is still present in iceweasel 3.0.1-1
I think I have some new information:
When I try to add an application handler via the old method, i.e. by
setting network.protocol-handler.app.foo to a program and
network.protocol-handler.external.foo to true, entering a foo:// url
in the location bar for the first time after clearing out
mimeTypes.rdf (!) results in a message box.
"This link needs to be opened with an application"
Clicking on OK results in the following error in the error console:
Error: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004001
(NS_ERROR_NOT_IMPLEMENTED) [nsIHandlerInfo.launchWithURI]" nsresult:
