Although I still wonder it is whether nano's issue or other editors, nano's priority 40 for editor alternatives is bit higher than other editors. I agree nano is pretty and small editor, but I'm surprised any editors (such as emacs or vim) can't be above and editor alternatives always keep nano on the top in the automatic mode.
