Hello, this problem seems much more likely to happen when using some other locale than en_US or C. I use the cs_CZ locale and the problem happens here, probably because apt downloads translations for package descriptions. Running "LANG=C apt-get update" is a workaround for now. I'd love to see this problem solved.
