Package: wmaker Version: 0.91.0-7.2 Severity: important Starting with wmaker 0.90, it doesn't work properly with Dual-Head but without Xinerama.
With wmaker 0.80 both screens are controlled by a single wmaker instance and both behave like a normal single-headed setup, i.e. switchting workspaces works by moving the mouse over the screen and using the keys, hotkeys for starting applications start them on the screen the mouse is on, etc. Wmaker 0.90 only starts on the first head by default, no matter where the mouse is, keys etc. are only handled on the first screen. When starting two instances for each screen with: wmaker -display :0.0 wmaker -display :0.1 both screens get their own instance, but focusing a window or sending keys to the other screen (by moving the mouse to it) doesn't work. I found that using the mouse-wheel to switch between workspaces on the other screen or clicking on a window title moves the "focus" over to the other screen, after that it can be used normally. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.12-rc5-h323 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages wmaker depends on: ii cpp 4:3.3.5-3 The GNU C preprocessor (cpp) ii debianutils 2.13.2 Miscellaneous utilities specific t ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-22 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libfontconfig1 2.3.2-1 generic font configuration library ii libfreetype6 2.1.7-2.4 FreeType 2 font engine, shared lib ii libwraster3 0.91.0-7.2 Shared libraries of Window Maker r ii libx11-6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-14 X Window System protocol client li ii libxext6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-14 X Window System miscellaneous exte ii libxft2 2.1.7-1 FreeType-based font drawing librar ii libxrender1 1:0.8.3-1 X Rendering Extension client libra ii xlibs 4.3.0.dfsg.1-14 X Keyboard Extension (XKB) configu ii zlib1g 1:1.2.2-4 compression library - runtime -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
