The current build of mktemp supports templates with a minimum
of 1 X. The current coreutils version requires a minimum of
3 X's.
Using coreutils mktemp is definitely on the todo list, but it probably
needs to be done early in the lenny+1 release cycle to allow enough time
to shake out compatibility issues.
