Package: flashplugin-nonfree Version: 1:1.7 Severity: important I updated flashplugin-nonfree to 1:1.7 a short time ago (from 1:1.6.3), and started experiencing non-fatal freezing in iceweasel.
I have temporarily been forced to use my ISP's webmail interface as I transition to a new home LAN setup, and their interface is crammed with useless Flash displays. With flashplugin-nonfree 1.6.3 all was well, but after the update to 1.7 loading of any page with Flash components causes iceweasel to freeze up for 20-30 seconds before becoming usable again. This renders the webmail client inconvenient to use, if not totally unusable. Downgrading to flashplugin-nonfree 1:1.6.3 restores the previous behavior, where everything works just fine. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable'), (350, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.27-rc5.080829.desktop.uvesafb-tip (SMP w/2 CPU cores; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages flashplugin-nonfree depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.23 Debian configuration management sy ii fontconfig 2.6.0-1 generic font configuration library ii gnupg 1.4.9-3 GNU privacy guard - a free PGP rep ii ia32-libs-gtk 2.6 GTK+ ia32 shared libraries ii lib32z1 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-12 compression library - 32 bit runti ii nspluginwrapper 1.0.0-1 A wrapper to run Netscape plugins ii wget 1.11.4-1 retrieves files from the web flashplugin-nonfree recommends no packages.
