I happened to notice the following in some Ubuntu log files: ? Unknown dependency libncurses5 (>= 5.4-5) by reiser4progs-udeb ? Unknown dependency libreadline5 (>= 5.2) by reiser4progs-udeb ? Unknown dependency libncurses5 (>= 5.4-5) by mkreiser4-udeb ? Unknown dependency libreadline5 (>= 5.2) by mkreiser4-udeb In other words, reiser4progs' udebs are built with readline when they shouldn't be, since d-i doesn't include the readline libraries. Could you please do a second build pass for the udebs, omitting --with-readline?
