Well, the original report talks about _wrong_ entries in /etc/exports
while Henning notes that those entries are working fine [1]. Depending
on who is right, this bug should imho be either fixed or closed.

The following would do the trick:
ipcalc $addr $mask | grep '^Network:' | awk '{print $2}'
This does not include any black magic and it's really easy to read.
Adding ipcalc to the dependencies does not sound like a bad idea to me
to solve this.
