Those messages are definitely noisy and suspicious during the libsane
package upgrade.

I haven't noticed any operational problem (yet), but it must be said
that:
 * I have just upgraded libsane
 * I haven't used my scanner yet
 * I am not sure about the use of those sg* device files (are they
SCSI-related? if this is the case, I won't probably see anything wrong
anyway because my scanner is not a SCSI one...)
 * I am not sure I understand the usefulness of creating device files
in /dev/.static/dev/, when udev is active (is it just a way to make
install scripts happy, or do files under /dev/.static/dev/ really have
some use?)

Breaking news!!!
I've just found out bug #481559 and remembered that I upgraded udev from
version 0.114-2 to version 0.125-6 only recently (since I was waiting
for a RC bug to be fixed).
I had not yet rebooted, hence I still had /dev/.static/dev/ mounted
read-only, when upgrading libsane.

After a reboot, I no longer have /dev/.static/dev/ and libsane postinst script
seems to be much happier:

  # /var/lib/dpkg/info/libsane.postinst  configure
  .udevdb or .udev presence implies active udev. Aborting MAKEDEV invocation.
  # echo $?
  0

P.S.: I am Cc:ing the bug submitter, maybe he also had udev <= 0.114-2
installed at the time of his latest reboot, when he submitted this bug
report...  Martin, can you check?
