Package: isdneurofile Version: 1:3.9.20060704-3 Hello,
under kernel 2.6 with udev isdneurofile init starts too early and the
interface configuration fails because ISDN-device-nodes are generated by
/etc/init.d/isdnutils which starts later. Thus, /etc/init.d/isdneurofile
doesn't find /dev/isdninfo:
/etc/rc2.d/S20isdneurofile
/etc/rc2.d/S20isdnutils
Can't open /dev/isdninfo or /dev/isdn/isdninfo: No such file or directory

Switching the init-file order solves the problem and isdneurofile starts
normally.
I'm not sure what makes more sense: starting isdneurofile later or
isdnutils earlier. I personally decided to start isdnutils earlier:
update-rc.d isdnutils defaults 14 86
This way it gets started before Name-Servers (S15/K85) and VPN-Services
(S16/K80) and gets stopped after them.
Although I finally modified the isdnutils init-script order, I'm filing
this bug against isdneurofile since this is what breaks :) Though, this
should be not a big issue, since they are the same source anyways.
Please consider raising the severity of this bug to grave. I personally
think this would be justified because currently this makes isdneurofile
unusable. However, it is easy to fix by a subsequent
/etc/init.d/isdneurofile restart
so I leave raising the severity up to you.
This bug appears in the latest isdnutils/isdneurofile 1:3.9.20060704-3.4
packages as well.
