Thank you for your message.

I managed to submit a bug report to debian only.
I can see that a similar bug
(https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5761)
has been resolved in 3.2.4

The only difference is that I encountered the problem when working with 
files with colons and the above-mentioned bug involves folders.

I guess there is not a big difference however.
