When fusion-icon is launched through the shell, and you hit "suspend" (Ctrl+Z on sh), it naturally means that everything the process does gets suspended... including, in case of fusion-icon, the window manager launched through it. And as everyone knows, compiz doesn't behave at all well when suspended for whatever reason, at worst it can mean a complete UI lockup where a (Magic SysRQ) reboot is needed.
